KOLLEKTIV | ELEVEN is a transdisciplinary and intercultural artist collective based in North Rhine-Westphalia, working across dance, choreography, dramaturgy, music, visual art and lighting design.

Founded in 2024 by dancers and choreographers Lara Pilloni and Julia Monschau, KOLLEKTIV | ELEVEN brings together choreographic assistant and dramaturg Frederico Mendes Teixeira, Chilean musician and visual artist Álvaro Severino, and Chilean lighting designer Julio Ernesto Escobar Mellado. Based across Essen, Wuppertal and Dortmund, the collective is shaped by the different cultural and artistic backgrounds of its members and by their exchange within a collaborative creative process.

At the centre of KOLLEKTIV | ELEVEN’s work is the relationship between mind and body and the ways in which thoughts, memories and emotions can become visible through physical expression. Its artistic practice is understood as a process: rather than creating fixed or self-contained images, the collective opens up spaces in which meaning can emerge and evolve.

The collective creates spaces where reality and fiction intersect, bringing different artistic languages into dialogue. Dance, sound, light and visual elements influence one another throughout the creative process, shaping a shared performative language. With a strong attention to images and atmospheres, KOLLEKTIV | ELEVEN develops works that remain open to transformation and to the experience of each moment.
